Since 1996, Montepulciano has been twinned with the French town of Moulins. This lovely town has around 20,000 inhabitants, is the capital of the Allier department and is located in the Auvergne. Many producers choose the barrels from this region for the ageing of their Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
