Parco Villa Trecci

Parco Villa Trecci

Parco Villa Trecci is just a few kilometres from the old town of Montepulciano (Via di San Bartolomeo 22). Perfectly preserved and developed by its owners, for whom it is the fulfilment of a dream, it is located on the watershed between the Valdichiana and the Val d’Orcia, amidst the peace and quiet of the classic Tuscan countryside. The beauty of the location, the scents and colours, and the natural order that is heightened here by the extreme care with which it is maintained, make it the perfect place to regain your inner balance and calm.
The park extends over three hectares and can be discovered little by little along a pathway that reveals different areas to visitors: the garden of grey plants, the copse, the rose garden, the large grass bed, the lake of aquatic plants with its marsh, the lemon house, the expansive green areas interrupted by age-old olive trees and bushes with fragrant flowers. This garden is home to almost four hundred different species of plants that do not require watering in summer. In addition to the colours and the sounds of nature and the fountains, considerable attention has been paid to the scents which, in the grey plants, are closely linked to our ancestral emotions, evoking places that are often linked to our Mediterranean world.
Your walk will be a pleasant and relaxing one, during which you will come across lots of plants that you probably already know, in natural association with others. All this will be an experience of peace and discovery to take home as the best of memories.
In summer, the park hosts art events, exhibitions and concerts, and is open to the public on certain days of the week.
Parco Villa Trecci belongs to APGI and Garden Route Italia, Mediterranean Garden Society and Grandi Giardini Italiani, and is recognised by MIBACT as one of the most beautiful gardens in Italy and the country’s first eco-sustainable park.
