New Camper area at the Montepulciano Lake Nature Reserve

The new camper area built near the Visitor Center, within the Montepulciano Lake Nature Reserve, has been active for a few weeks now. Five stalls equipped for campers and motorhomes (5 x 8 metres), with automated entrance and exclusive services for users of the area: bathrooms with dishwashing area, fully accessible WC and showers built in part of the existing Visitor Center building, with separate entrance. But also electric charging, public water fountain, wi-fi service and particular attention to the environmental inclusion of the work which aims to strengthen the infrastructure for sustainable tourism in Montepulciano.

An insertion attentive to the environmental context. Particular care and attention was paid to the inclusion of the camper area in the context of the Nature Reserve. The project did not see any permanent changes to the locations and all the installations are removable, including those that require foundations or bases for safety reasons. The area is delimited with a wooden fence, the internal path is made with a smooth, non-slippery surface, level, with attention to accessibility. The LED lighting system includes low-height support poles so as not to disturb the local fauna. In correspondence with the stalls there are n. 4 columns for electricity supply and n. 2 columns for water supply. Inside the camper area, a separate waste collection station has been inserted and there are cameras for video surveillance. There is a wi-fi service, a public drinking water fountain and additional natural wood picnic tables have also been provided, in addition to those already existing in the Visitor Center area.

An App for the Camper Area. It is called “inArea” and it is the free app, available on all online stores (on Google Play, on App Store), which allows you to automatically manage access to the camper area at the Visitor Center of the Montepulciano Lake Reserve. We remind you of the present services:  automated entrance; bathrooms with dishwashing area, fully accessible WC and showers; electric recharges; public water fountain; wifi service.
