C’era una volta l’Aia – “Once upon a time in the farmyard”

“Once upon a time in the farmyard” returns on Thursday 18 July, the event organized by the S.AlbinoEventi association, which will take place until Sunday 21 July 2024, in the green space of the civic center of Sant’Albino, in Montepulciano. From the cuisine to the events, the event aims to recreate the atmosphere of the typical festivals that were held in the past in the Val di Chiana countryside, on the occasion of the early summer threshing.

The menu was drawn up in full respect of the culinary tradition of our countryside such as the peasant starter, pasta and chickpeas, spelled panzanella, cannucciotti with Sugo dell’Ocio, Gnocchi dell’Aia, stuffed pigeon, tripe, ossobuco, onions under the embers and much more. The Farmer’s Cod will be served on Friday 19th.

There is also space to discover the territory, in a sustainable way, with the “Ecological Walk” organized on the morning of Sunday 21 July. Departure at 8.30 from the farmyard in the countryside around Sant’Albino, together with the Montepulciano Scout group with a small final refreshment. An initiative in line with the philosophy of Montepulciano Sustainable Tourist Destination.

The musical program includes: dance with “Samuele Biribicchi” on Thursday 18th, DJ set by Delta Group on Friday, Saturday dance with Gianluca Fumanti and closing, on Sunday, with the Novel Music Band complex. The event is organized with the patronage and support of the Municipality of Montepulciano.
