Live, enjoy and respect Montepulciano

A new section of the tourist website montepulcianoliving.it has been activated, in Italian and English, dedicated to “Sustainable Tourism”. The section is also referred to in the information material available, from today, in the Tourist Information and Reception points to provide some suggestions for a sustainable stay in Montepulciano.

The paper material, with digital link via QR-code to the web part, has been distributed in recent days at the Tourist Information and Reception points and is part of the actions envisaged by the Sustainable Tourist Destination (GSTC-D), certification obtained by the Municipality of Montepulciano in 2024.

The information provides an explanation of the project and contains “Tourism etiquette guide”, i.e. a list of good practices to follow during the visit to Montepulciano, respecting the decorum and the historic centre.

The brochure and the section of the montepulcianoliving.it website dedicated to sustainable tourism also provide some suggestions for a sustainable stay, a non-exhaustive list of “good practices” to fully enjoy your holiday in Montepulciano: from the choice of local food and wine products, to the promotion of local craftsmanship, starting from the valorization project called “Mestieri Artigiani Poliziani”; from the visit to the Lake Montepulciano Regional Nature Reserve, to the suggestion to use public water in the many fountains present in the historic center and in the hamlets; from public transport to the network of georeferenced routes of Montepulciano Active.
